The mirror is the first thing I see as I enter the bathroom, and I stare at what I see, and realize I haven't been thankful enough-- for my hair and its importance that I so easily forget. My eyes that allow me to see and savour all the beauty of nature and people that God has masterfully created; the sunsets, the trees, the sky and faces and places. My ears, to hear sounds and listen to experiences and lessons and words of affirmation and reminders. My nose, to smell. To catch bad scents, to let me appreciate the good ones, and to breathe in familiar smells that make me feel at home. And my mouth, that allows me to eat -- to eat food I can only have because my parents work so hard and tirelessly everyday, and because we've been blessed everyday to have food on the table. And to talk and share life's pains and joys with other people.
I am grateful because I have all of these. And I guess thinking we never have enough only happens because we forget the things that allow us to savour everything else.
