Some days we bicker that it's not good enough, not big enough. It's just one dish and we're not pleased. The food's not that great and we sulk. I used to sulk. Some days we stretch ourselves to our stomach's content and the next day when we stare at a portion not as grand as the one before, we compare our meals in our heads. At least that was what I used to do.
But timely reminders are the greatest ones, and I've come to find that we can live without the 'big-ness' of things. We only need that much a day, and the rest is luxury we should not overlook.
Everyday, my mouth is fed and I need not cry out in hunger.
I'm not all that enthusiastic about most things. But with time spent alone (thinking!) I have come to a thought: Though often times good things in life don't come in neat, pretty packages and many things 'could be better', I have been undeservedly blessed. From little smiles I get from random people though I glare (not friendly at all) to surprises and the thoughtfulness of the ones dearest to me to people who stick around through whatever may come.
To you who has been earnestly caring to me and full of surprises, you know who you are and know that I am so ever grateful.
I stand corrected.
Some good things in life do come in neat, pretty packages :)
